About Fourth Village Providore

Fourth Village Providore is the realisation of the long held dream and passion of Peter and Annette Quattroville which has quickly become a unique and sought out Sydney food destination. With over 30 years food retail experience between them, Peter and Annette, together with their three sons John, Sal and Dominic, created a providore with a difference. At Fourth Village Providore the emphasis is on providing high quality hand grown fresh produce and handmade products.

The genesis of Fourth Village Providore began in 1997 when the family purchased 100 acres of prime farming land at Pokolbin in the heart of the lower Hunter Valley. The farm now has some 3500 olive trees of varieties such as Spanish Manzanillo, Greek Kalamata and the Italian variety, Frantoio. Today these trees produce some of the regions finest table olives and distinctive hand crafted olive oils.

Unfiltered & Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil is Peter’s passion which is reflected in the high quality flavour. Pressed every year in early to mid-Autumn when the olives are ripe, its cloudy appearance and grassy flavour notes rival many of Italy’s finest Tuscan Oils.

The Fourth Village label began with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and has now grown to include a wide range of jams and condiments (made with seasonal fruits picked ripe at the farm), infused oils such as chilli and lemon, balsamic condiments, salad dressings and traditional Italian pickled vegetables. All produced in the kitchen at Fourth Village Providore under the watchful eye of Annette using traditional family recipes and adaptations of contemporary classics.

Peter Quattroville

Peter takes serious pride in all things associated with his store, focusing on grass root basics and ensuring that the old fashioned way of customer services is instilled in all his employees. Peter’s strong passion for quality food sees him travel to the markets early every morning to source only the highest quality seasonally available fruit and vegetables from local growers. 'Food is only limited by imagination', says Peter.

Annette Quattroville

Under the watchful eye of Annette the deli is able make delicious wholesome take-home meals such as lasagne, homemade sausage rolls and fresh fruit salads. The deli is also a place where you can have a healthy wild rice salad for lunch or grab some freshly made pasta for dinner.

John Quattroville

John, together with Peter and Annette, works to ensure that Fourth Village Providore maintains a strong emphasis on quality hand grown and homemade products. John is the eyes of the operation and ensures that the Fourth Village name continues to deliver satisfaction to our loyal customers and achieves with the goal of keeping Fourth Village Providore at the top of Sydney's food destinations.

Sal Quattroville

Sal embraces the family restaurant . Sal's sole and dedicated focus on the restaurant ensures that every meal produced in the Fourth Village kitchen is as good as the last.
