Fourth Village Providore is the backbone of the Merchants, Fourth Village will continue to offer the products, readymade meals, jams and preserves cooked on site and fresh produce gathered daily from Flemington that have made it a byword for excellence in Mosman since 2008. The family will be offering olive oil and olives from their farm in the Hunter Valley, and their wine will be served in Mezzanino, the restaurant upstairs.
To ensure the lusciousness of our berries, the crisp crunch of the apples and the amazing aroma of our herbs, we have a purpose built walk-in cool room to maintain this absolute freshness. This ensures that our customers take home only seasonally ripe ingredients every time. The team are always on hand to answer your queries, let you know how best to prepare your vegetables, and point out produce that is at its very best.
We stock artisan charcuterie items made in Australia as well as the famous Italian Prosciutto di Parma and Spanish Serrano Ham & Jamon. The Deli also provides quality homemade antipasto such as caramelised sun dried tomatoes as well as a large selection of quality olives, most of which come from our Hunter Valley farm in Pokolbin.
Travelling to the markets everyday ensures we get to select market fresh flowers suitable for every occasion. Our seasonal range includes Singapore Orchid pots, mini Phalaenopois Orchids, Dahlias, Oriental lilies, Casablanca Lilies, Field and Glasshouse Roses and potted herbs.
Our wide range of quality products bearing the Fourth Village Providore label are produced in our onsite state-of-the-art kitchen under the watchful eye of Annette Quattroville, using traditional recipes that have been passed down through the family as well as adaptations of contemporary classics. We also provide essential pantry items such as quality Italian pastas & vinegars, a gluten free and organic section, condiments and chutneys for all your African and Asian inspired recipes, and chocolate from the finest chocolate houses in the world, Amedei & Valhrona.
Will be making fresh pasta for you as you watch. Tell us what you want and we’ll do our best to make it. It can’t get better than simply the finest Australian durum flour (Bellata) and eggs. It’s what Italians call pasta fresca, and will include tortellini, spaghetti, fettuccine and lasagna.
